Perhaps not Prozac
Perhaps the reason many of us fall into cycles of depression is that we unknowingly pollute the world around us, literally and figuratively. It is when we compensate for this daily moral deficit by doing good to those around us that lifts our spirits and sustains our peace.
Activism
Activism is a different breed altogether. The activist is nourished by news on corruption, deceit, hypocrisy, as he is inspired by past examples, undying ideals, and future possibilities. He fights willpower with willpower and human error with truth. The activist speaks up when few others do, when it may be embarrassing, unpopular, and inconvenient.
